Namchi Public School was established on the 28th of July 1989.
The school is under the jurisdiction of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Darjeeling-Sikkim Namchi Public School is situated in Namchi, South District of Sikkim, at an altitude of about 4500 ft. above mean sea level.
It is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi.
In order to prepare the students for the examinations, a well worked out programme is conducted through classes LKG to XII.
The medium of instruction is English.
Nepali, Hindi and Tibetain are offered as second languages. It is compulsory for the students to study one of these languages.
Computer Science, Physical Education, Economics and Commerce are offered as additional subjects. Students of class VIII and above will have to take one of these subjects.
In the ISC section, Science and Commerce streams are available at present.
