GENERAL
SCHOOL RULES AND REGULATIONS
- English
will be spoken at all times in the school premises. Disciplinary action
will be taken against those who violate this rule.
- Students
should be punctual to assembly and classes. No one who has been absent
or late may be admitted to class without the signature of the Principal/Vice
Principal on the regularity record.
- Wearing
of school uniform for classes ,P.T. uniform for P.T. and games period
is compulsory. Parents are to request for exemption if their
son/daughter is not in a position to attend classes/PT/Games.
- Day
scholars/boarders who do not return promptly after the holidays should
inform the Principal/Vice Principal in writing before the holidays. Otherwise they can be fined heavily, sent back or will have their
names struck off the rolls.
- PRIVATE
TUITIONS ARE NOT PERMITTED. THEY SHOULD NOT BE ENCOUREGED.
Parents must approach the Principal if their son/daughter
needs remedial classes/special help in certain subjects.
- Students
should not leave the school premises during the breaks and other times
without the written permission from the Principal or Vice Principal.
- Library
books must be handled with utmost care.They should be returned within
a fortnight/the stipulated time.
- Visitors
may meet the students only with the permission of the Principal/Vice
Principal.
- Only
the parents or legitimate guardians are permitted to take their children
home for holidays.
- Parents
may see or call on their children or interview teachers during the
school hours only if the Principal/Vice Principal grants them permission
to do so.
- Good
manners and politeness, both in speech and conduct are expected from
everybody in the school.
- Enrolment
at Namchi Public School implies , on the part of the pupils and parents
willingness to comply with the rules and regulations of the school.
- Date
of birth once recorded at admission cannot be changed.
- After
an illness a pupil must produce a doctor's certificate sating that
he/she is fit to join the school.
- The
school diary is a personal record of each student . It should be brought
to class daily. If lost, it must be replaced. Pupils are themselves
responsible for the safe custody of their belongings.
- All
pupils are to come to school neatly dressed in the school uniform.
Elaborated hairstyles are not permitted. Boys and girls should have
normal short haircut.
- any
damage to the school property must be made good by the pupil concerned.
- The
school reserves the right to increase fees at any time, even during
the scholastic year, if any increment is deemed necessary.
- Continuous
assessment is done in each subject based on the performance in regular
tests. The results are consolidated and the overall achievement is shown
in the annual report card.
- Parents
/ Guardians may visit or call their pupils in the hostels on second
Saturdays / Sundays of the month and not any other day.
- Boarders
will not be permitted to stay in hostels or in the town during short
/ long holidays , unless their parents are with them .
- Visiting
video parlours is not permitted .
- Promotion
criteria will be made known to the pupils in the beginning of each
academic year.
- Boarders
leaving the school hostel in the middle of the year on grounds other
than disciplinary will have to pay for three months more .
- Any one
absent from school for one month or more, without prior permission
from the school authorities, will be considered to have left the school.
- Any
student falling short of 80% attendance during the year will not
be promoted.
- Students
involved in fights, drugs, alcohol and stealing will incur automatic
expulsion. The same is applicable for those who run away from the
school/hostel.
- A student
cannot be readmitted once withdrawn from the school or hostel.
- Absentees
for any test must give prior information to the Principal/Vice Principal
in writing.
- Students
are not permitted to join outsides tournaments except through the
school.
- No
refund of security deposit will be made without presenting the security
deposit receipt.

VARIA

- The principal
will be available in his office on all working days between 9 a.m
and 3 p.m only
- Payment of
fees must be made in the school.
- Admission
forms for all classes (except of ,10 &12) will be issued from the Principal's
office from 1st July every year .
- Students seeking
admission to this institution are required to go through an admission
test in English and Mathematics. Successful candidates will be granted
admission on merit basis if there is vacancy in the required class.
- Prospectus
is available in the school office on payment of Rs.200/-.
- No transfer
certificate will be issued until all the school dues are cleared.
- No student
will be allowed to sit for the final examination unless fees and other
dues are paid.
- All students
are taught the essentials of religion which are acceptable to all
people of all faiths. Efforts are continually made to develop and
draw out moral values in the life of all students.
- The school
calendar is subject to inspection any day by the Principal, Vice Principal
and Class Teachers.
- The school
diary must be brought to class everyday.
- Chewing gum
, pan masala of all kinds ,cigarettes and tobacco are not permitted
within the school premises.
- Bleaching
hair, sporting long nails, using nail polish and eye-brow polish,
using jelly and other materials to sport elaborate hair styles will incur deciplinary action.
- Cell phones
are not permitted within the school campus.
- No students
is permitted to wear valuable ornaments like gold chains, gold fingers
and ears rings during school hours.

EXAMINATION
AND PROMOTION |
| Pass
marks for all the students of primary and secondary section in all subjects
are 40%. Pass marks for all the students of higher secondary section in
all subjects are 45%. Annual reports will show marks / grades. Promotion
depends on the student's performance throughout the year and not merely
on marks scored in any particular examination. If a student is absent
for the unit test or term exams, he/she will not appear for it at a later
date. There is no system of re-examination or re-consideration of a student
who has not been promoted. |
