Namchi Public School has done its best as far as ICSE and ISC results are concerned. Every year the percentage of successful candidates in ICSE Examnination is about 99% (average) and that of ISC Examination is about 93% (average). The yearwise results are listed below :

At the initial stage, that is from July 1989 to November 1996, schemes were formulated for making students achieve excellence in various co-curricular activities like debate, quiz, declamation, recitation, essay writing and one-act play competition. Since March 1997, the children have been exposed to matches, tournaments and other co-curricular events conducted in and out of Sikkim, thus fostering and enhancing team work at all levels.Apart from examinations NPS students have been able to achieve a lot in these activities as well.

Prizes are awarded for academics, character, discipline, participation in sports and games, leadership, music and cultural activities. The school has instituted three prestigious awards for the pupils:

General Proficiency, Best Boy and Best Girl Awards.
